You can make small boxes and envelopes that fit on and print out on one
8-1/2 x 11 sheet if you watch the numbers at the left of the screen and make
sure no measurement is a bigger number than the size of the paper.
When you elongate or widen a shape a lot, it's likely it will get larger,
but it's VERY easy to print out something bigger because the CD does it
automatically and provides sheets that have dotted lines all ready to overlap
(I think computer people call it "Tiling").
If you hold the pieces of paper up against a window, you can overlap them
and tape them together along the dotted lines VERY easily, you don't have to
match the edges of the paper up, just the dotted lines! I just tape one to
the glass with a tiny piece of tape, then tape the others just to each other
(paper to paper). Then I take the small piece of tape off the glass and I
have a big template all ready to make a box for a larger gift, or an envelope
for a big card, or whatever...
You can SAVE your measurements so if you get a size and shape you like you
can repeat it later. I print out the exact dimensions as a separate sheet of
paper and put it in a folder (each shape has a folder...I use FIT IT a LOT).
Since I often use the template in my Xyron, applying adhesive and then
sticking it to the back of handmade paper or giftwrap or something that would
otherwise be too light to make a box or envelope, I sometimes print extras
all at the same time so I can make several or have templates ready for later.
